A United Airlines flight bound for LaGuardia Airport was diverted to Memphis late Saturday night after a passenger became disruptive, the airline said.
The plane left Houston at 6:55 p.m. and was headed for New York City but had to land in Memphis just before 9 p.m. because of the passenger.
The airline would not say what happened.
The plane landed in Newark early Sunday.
