Two men were stabbed and a third man was injured during a group fight at a New Jersey mall Saturday night, police say.

Witnesses described a large crowd of people fighting at a JCPenney around 6:30 p.m. before running through Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City.

Two of the victims were stabbed at the department store and rushed to Jersey City Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

One of them was a 20-year-old who was stabbed multiple times. The other was a 21-year-old who was stabbed in his hands, according to Jersey City spokesperson Kim Wallace-Scalcione. The 21-year-old was being uncooperative with police, Wallace-Scalcione said.

A third man who was injured refused to be taken to a hospital.

Witnesses said police were circling the mall looking for a possible attacker.

The Latest from Pyeongchang:

No arrests had been made as of Saturday night.

It’s not the first large fight at Newport Centre Mall. In March 2016, police rushed there after an argument between a worker in an Easter bunny costume and a customer turned into a full-on brawl.

News 4 reached out to the mall for comment but hasn’t heard back.
