Actor-director Stanley Tucci and celebrity chef Mario Batali are lending a hand to the Food Bank for New York City.
The two were enlisted to preside Monday at the symbolic lighting of the Empire State Building, kicking off a hunger relief campaign called "Go Orange!"
Orange is the symbolic color of hunger awareness.
The food bank says 1.3 million New Yorkers are at risk of hunger nearly half of them children and the elderly.
Batali and Tucci are on the food bank's board.
