Three of America’s best restaurants are in New York City -- but TripAdvisor said they’re not as good as ones in the Windy City or Walt Disney World.
The travel planning and booking site rated Manhattan’s Per Se, Bouley and Daniel among the top 10 fine dining spots in the U.S. But it was Chicago’s Alinea that took the top spot, followed by Victoria & Albert’s in Orlando.
Alinea, a three-floor restaurant with multiple dining experiences starting at $175 per person is taking home the top spot in TripAdvisor’s ratings for the second year running. It was also the only American restaurants to make the site’s worldwide ranking.
Victoria and Albert’s, meanwhile, is part of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and serves platters featuring flavors from across the globe in addition to ingredients local to central Florida.
TripAdvisor said it compiled the rankings based on the quantity and quality and quantity of restaurant reviews gathered over a 12-month period.
