Three men beat up a man and stole a woman’s cellphone on board a bus in the Bronx last month, police say.
Two of the men walked up to a man and a woman sitting together on a BX42 bus in Van Nest on April 9 and threatened them with box cutters, according to the NYPD.
They then beat the man and took the woman’s iPhone, authorities said.
A third man got onto the bus and was in the company of the suspects as they were robbing the pair, officials said.
The trio then got off the bus as it stopped at Tremont Avenue and East 180th Street, police said.
Officials Tuesday morning released surveillance images of the three suspects in hopes of catching them.
Police said there was no altercation leading up to the attack.
