Police are looking for three men they said ransacked a West Bronx home and threatened to kill the two women inside, one of the victim's grandchildren said.
The trio forced their way into a third floor apartment in a Hunts Point building about 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 23, according to the NYPD.
Police say a 91-year-old woman and her 21-year-old home attendant were inside the apartment when the suspects knocked on the door. The trio claimed to be working on behalf of the building, according to the victim’s granddaughter Deborah Wilson.
"They were asking for signatures," she said. "They were concerned about turning this into a green building."
When the attendant opened the door, the men took out guns and tied up both women. One of the men held them at gunpoint while the others searched the apartment.
“They threatened her if she said anything or screamed they’d kill her,” Wilson said.
Police say the trio ran away empty-handed, and the women were not harmed.

Wilson said she doesn't know how much her grandmother, who has Alzheimer's disease, remembers from the attack or comprehends what happened.
"It was shocking," Wilson said. "You would never expect this, especially, to happen to an elderly person."
Surveillance video release by police Wednesday shows the three men the NYPD is looking for. Authorities believe they’re in their 30s or early 40s.
