A tractor-trailer hit and killed a pedestrian in the Prospect Park section of Brooklyn Wednesday evening, authorities say.
A woman was walking near Caton Avenue and St. Paul's Place when she was hit by the truck at about 8:30 p.m., according to police.
The tractor-trailer left the scene, and when police later caught up with the driver, he claimed he didn't know he'd hit anyone, police sources say.
The driver has not been arrested. The intersection was closed to traffic Wednesday night as police investigated.
