Several Suffer Minor Injuries in NJ Tour Bus Crash

State police say about a dozen people suffered minor injuries when a tour bus crashed on a New Jersey highway.

About 50 people were aboard the BoltBus when it apparently struck a guardrail and left the roadway just before 3 p.m. Saturday. The accident occurred in a northbound lane of Interstate 295 in Hamilton Township, Mercer County. No other vehicles were involved.

Sgt. Brian Polite said one passenger was being treated for a minor hip injury, while the rest suffered bumps and bruises and were taken to hospitals as a precaution.

The bus had departed from Philadelphia and was headed to New York when the crash occurred.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
