A tornado warning was issued Tuesday afternoon for Sullivan County.
The National Weather Service issued the warning, which is scheduled to remain in effect until 4:45 p.m.
Forecasts also call for severe weather in surrounding areas. The NWS says a severe thunderstorm capable of producing penny-sized hail and wind gusts of up to 60 mph are possible.
Some area locations got soaked with rain and even thunder throughout the overnight period.
