Man in Armed 911 Tongue Dial Rape Case Faces New Charges

The new charges are expected to be announced Wednesday

A man accused of raping and terrorizing a woman inside a Long Island home is facing new charges.

Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota says his investigation has uncovered "clear evidence" that Patrick O'Sullivan of East Moriches planned "a new scheme he believed would result in his freedom."

O'Sullivan has pleaded not guilty to four counts of predatory sexual assault. He's been in jail since December in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $1 million bond.

Spota was to announce the new charges Wednesday.

Prosecutors say the victim was housesitting for a friend in Stony Brook when she was bound and attacked at gunpoint last November.

They said the woman used her tongue to dial 911 after the suspect fled.

O'Sullivan's attorney couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
