Toddler Found Unresponsive in Long Island Pool: Police

A toddler is in serious condition at a Long Island hospital after she was found unresponsive in a family pool Tuesday morning, police say.

The 18-month-old girl was found in the Sayville pool on Chester Road at about 10:30 a.m., and responding police officers and EMS workers performed CPR on her, according to authorities.

She was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, then transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious condition.

Suffolk police said Tuesday they're also investigating the death of a man found drowned in his Dix Hills pool Monday.
