Woman, Ex-Husband Accused of Sending Threats to Hamptons Synagogue

Police on eastern Long Island say a woman and her ex-husband have been arrested on charges they sent threats to an East Hampton synagogue.

Police say 44-year-old Asli Dincer and 31-year-old Melih Dincer allegedly posed as four acquaintances in the emails sent to the Jewish Center of The Hamptons — possibly to get the other people in trouble.

East Hampton Village Police Chief Gerard Larsen Jr. says they were arrested Thursday night at Kennedy Airport after arriving from Turkey.

They were expected to be arraigned later Friday on charges including making a terrorist threat, falsely reporting an incident, menacing and conspiracy.

The name of their attorney was not immediately available.
