Sleeping Subway Riders Pickpocketed in Manhattan, Brooklyn: Police

Police are searching for two thieves in two separate cases

Police are looking for thieves who targeted sleeping passengers on the subway in two separate instances.

On the morning of Dec. 8, a man sleeping on the Q train in Brooklyn awoke to discover his wallet missing as the train approached Neck Road subway station, police say. The thief used the victim's credit card at a Dunkin Donuts on Brighton Beach Avenue and a Stop & Shop supermarket on Avenue Y.

On Dec. 11, a man asleep on the 4 train awoke at about 1:30 a.m. to find his bag missing as the train approached Borough Hall station. His credit card was later used at a Duane Reade and a 7-Eleven in Brooklyn.
