A woman and two masked men robbed two teenagers at gunpoint Friday evening, but not without resistance from the female victim, police said.

The 15-year-olds, a boy and a girl, were walking near Ethel Street and Edwards Place when they were approached by a woman armed with a BB gun at 10 p.m., police said. The suspect pointed the gun at them before shooting a round into the ground.

The teens were then approached by two men armed with a handgun who wore Guy Fawkes masks, police said. The masked men threatened to shoot the teens if they did not hand over their belongings.

The boy complied, but the girl refused and moved the handgun pointed at her face. Authorities said the man then punched her in the face and took her backpack.

Police said the suspects fled in a light silver or grey Honda, possibly an Accord.

The female victim was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. She sustained a contusion and laceration to her mouth and nose, police said.

The victims' property was recovered near Jamaica Avenue and Mill Road, authorities said.
