A teenager is dead after being shot outside a housing development in East Harlem, the NYPD says.
Police say the 17-year-old boy was shot in the torso on Park Avenue just after 10 p.m. Wednesday by an unknown gunman, who took off after the shooting. Paramedics rushed the teenager to an area hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life.
The victim's identity has not been released.
No arrests have been made.
Police say they are investigating.
