16-Year-Old Boy Shot to Death on Bronx Street: Police

A 16-year-old boy died and a 19-year-old man was injured in a Christmas Eve shooting in the Bronx, authorities say.

Police say two groups of males were involved in an argument near 183rd Street and Jerome Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. when shots were fired. Both groups fled the scene.

The 16-year-old, identified as Justin Morris, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old man was found nearby with two gunshot wounds to his back and one to his buttocks. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
