A 13-year-old boy suspected in several carjackings was arrested again after a court ordered his release, Newark police say.

The teen was accused of receiving stolen property in Maplewood on Sunday after police spotted a stolen car.

He had been arrested on Friday and police were investigating his involvement in carjackings in Orange, Maplewood and Newark. Police say the teenager had three key fobs which matched the makes of three vehicles taken during carjackings or attempted carjacking hours before his capture.

The court had ordered his release to a relative.

His name has not been released because of his age
