A teen is in critical condition after he was struck by a car Tuesday night on Long Island.
James Burke, 19, was crossing Montauk Highway at Carleton Avenue in East Islip when a Volkswagen traveling westbound hit him around 9:40 p.m., police said.
Burke was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he is listed in critical condition.
The driver remained on scene and was uninjured. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 631-854-8352.
