A skateboarder died when he slipped underneath the back wheel of a box truck he was holding onto on a Queens street Thursday, police say.
Alexander Ciszewski, 18, of Sunnyside, was skateboarding while holding onto the passenger side of a 2005 GMC box truck going eastbound on 47th Avenue between 32nd Place and 33rd Street in Long Island City, according to police.
Ciszewski lost control while on the skateboard and fell underneath the back wheel of the truck, police said. He was found unconscious and unresponsive by emergency responders.
He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
