Teen Shot, Killed in Harlem; 2nd Victim Stable

Police officers responding to a call found a 17-year-old girl lying unconscious on the street with a gunshot wound in her back. She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Authorities said the teen, identified as Cheybenne Baez, was found on East 128th Street around 1:15 a.m. Sunday. A second shooting victim, a 30-year-old man, was found some blocks away, on East 126th Street, with a gunshot wound in his thigh.

He was in stable condition. An investigation is underway, and no arrests have been made.
