The 16-year-old boy shot in the head on a New Jersey street died after more than 40 hours of fighting for his life, authorities said.
Ronald Witherspoon, Jr., was taken to a hospital in critical condition after he was shot near Monticello and Belmont Avenues in Jersey City shortly after midnight Wednesday. He died Thursday evening.
No arrests have been made.
