2 Teens Stabbed to Death a Block Apart in Brooklyn: NYPD

Police are investigating after they say two teens were stabbed to death a block apart Wednesday in Brooklyn.

The first teen was killed inside Allegiance Sneaker store on Utica Avenue in Crown Heights just before 7 p.m., police said.

The teen, identified as 18-year-old Jamal Joseph, had stab wounds to the neck, shoulder and torso. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Another teen, identified as 17-year-old John Garrett, was stabbed just one block over, on Eastern Parkway, hours later. Garrett was also taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the stabbings are not connected.

No arrests have been made in either case.
