A 19-year-old woman is expected to survive after falling five stories, authorities say.
The victim lost her footing while starting to back down a fire escape, reports The New York Post.
She and a friend had gone to the roof to hang out at about 2 a.m. Monday in Hollis, Queens.
The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital. The extent of her injuries wasn't immediately clear.
