An 18-year-old is dead after he crashed his motorcycle into a pole on Long Island.
The accident happened at 2:40 a.m. Saturday in East Farmingdale, according to Suffolk County police.
James Barnett of Bay Shore was making a left turn when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a pole, police said.
Barnett was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, where he was pronounced dead.
The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.
