Gunman Opens Fire on BBQ, Kills One Teen, Wounds Another

More than 70 people screamed and rushed for cover as shooter drove off

One teenager is dead and a second is in critical condition after a gunman leaned out of an SUV and opened fire on a barbecue in New York City.

The shooting happened early Saturday in the St. Albans neighborhood of Queens.

Nineteen-year-old Robinson Lageunesse was shot in the thigh and died at the scene. Lageunesse was a student at Queensborough Community College.

A second victim, 17-year-old Davon Jeffers, was shot in the abdomen and is in critical condition at Jamaica Hospital.

More than 70 people at the party screamed and rushed for cover as the gunman fired several more times and then sped away.
