Sex Abuse Charges Dropped Against Teacher

A grand jury did not indict him, prosecutors said Monday

Prosecutors have dropped charges against a Queens teacher's aide who was accused of sex abuse, forcible touching and other charges.

Brett Picou was arrested in February.

Prosecutors said Monday that a grand jury did not indict Picou. The Queens district attorney did not immediately provide details.

Picou had been a full-time paraprofessional at the school since January 2010, according to the Department of Education. He was placed on administrative leave on Feb. 15.
