Suspects Fire Shots Into L.I. House, Injure Woman

Nassau County police say the victim was inside the Elmont house with her boyfriend Sunday night when she heard metal being smashed outside

Police are looking for the suspects who fired shots into a Long Island home, striking a woman inside in the stomach.      

Nassau County police say the victim was inside the Elmont house with her boyfriend Sunday night when she heard metal being smashed outside.      

She looked out the window and saw about a dozen men hitting a car parked in the driveway. Police say when she yelled at them to stop, the suspects fired five shots into the house, striking her.      

The suspects fled in three cars.      

The woman was taken to a hospital where she was listed in stable condition.      
Police believe the suspects were looking for the woman's boyfriend. He is the owner of the parked car.
