Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the fatal stabbing of an Ithaca College student from New York City during a brawl at Cornell University.
Ithaca police say Nagee Green, of Freeville, was arrested Monday on murder and assault charges in the death of Anthony Nazaire, a 19-year-old sophomore from Brooklyn.
Green pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and was remanded without bail.
Nazaire and his friend were stabbed Aug. 28 as several hundred people were leaving a fraternity-sponsored party at the Cornell student union. His friend was treated for injuries and released.
Police did not provide any details as to Green's connection to Nazaire or to what led to the stabbing.
A spokesman for the Nazaire family said they were grateful for the arrest.
