A and C trains also experienced delays Wednesday morning

Subway service in Brooklyn has returned to normal after mechanical problems at the Atlantic Avenue Station caused major delays during the Wednesday morning commute.

Customers on the 2, 3, 4 and 5 lines experienced extensive delays during rush hour, but the problems had eased by 10:15 a.m.

Riders on the A and C lines in Upper Manhattan also experienced service disruptions due to a police investigation at 175th Street Station, but service on those lines resumed by about 8:30 a.m.
