The St. Patrick's Day Parade is on Tuesday. Here are the street closures you can expect from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
- Fifth Avenue between 29th Street and 44th Street
- Fifth Avenue between 86th Street and 79th Street
- Madison Avenue between 63rd Street and 64th Street
- Vanderbilt Avenue between 43rd Street and 46th Street
- 44th Street and 45th Street between Vanderbilt Avenue and Sixth Avenue
- 46th Street to 48th Street between Park Avenue and Sixth Avenue
- 63rd Street and 64th Street between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue
- 80th Street to 85th Street between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue
Metro-North and the Long Island Rail Road are offering extra trains Tuesday for the parade, but the rail lines have banned alcohol on trains, platforms and in stations for the day.
NJ Transit said it would be offering extra bus service to New York City for the parade.
