  • He says people stop to take photos on a regular basis.
  • Hahl leans Republican, but "slights everybody" with his lawn sign.

One Staten Islander is turning his uncertainty about the presidential election into comedy.

Richard Hahl of Great Kills purchased a campaign sign that reads "Everybody Sucks: 2016: The U.S. is Doomed" after seeing it on Facebook and placed it on his lawn, according to the Staten Island Advance.

Since then, his house has become a humorous pit stop for passersby.

Kids and adults laugh at the sign and people stop to take photos on a regular basis, SI Live reports.

The 65-year-old man, who leans Republican, is unsure of who he'll vote for in November. He was advised not to post political signs on his lawn to avoid attacks from candidate opposers on his property. This is the first time he's posted one since he moved into his home nearly 40 years ago, the Advance reported.

Hahl appreciates that the sign is getting people to lighten up despite the seriousness of politics — he thinks its good to have a sense of humor about the race, according to the Advance.
