3 Suffer Minor Injuries in 4-Alarm Fire on Staten Island

The cause of the fire was not immediately known

Three firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling an early morning fire at two private homes on Staten Island.      

Fire officials say the blaze at the two adjoining buildings in West Brighton, at 27 and 29 Mada Ave., erupted around 3 a.m. Monday.      

The fire went to a fourth alarm at 4:30 a.m.      

It was brought under control at 5:47 a.m.      

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
