Escaped Prisoner Caught on Staten Island

    Police have caught an escaped prisoner on Staten Island, who fled Monday morning while he was being transported to court.

    Romeo Stevens, 17, was being transported by the Department of Children and Family Services, at about 9:30 a.m. when he escaped near Richmond Terrace and Wall Street in the St. George section. 

    He was back in police custody by 6 p.m., police said.
