Cardinal Timothy Dolan held St. Patrick's Day mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral in midtown Manhattan Tuesday morning.
The service was attended by thousands, including several city leaders including Mayor de Blasio.
The mass came a few hours before the city's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, which winds from midtown, passes by the cathedral and ends at 79th Street.
