Springsteen Fans Miffed at Ticketmaster … Again

Some fans trying to buy tickets to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's rehearsal shows are angry at Ticketmaster -- again.

Dozens of people reported that a glitch in the agency's automated telephone system prompted them with a message that Ticketmaster wasn't selling tickets, before hanging up.

Ticketmaster spokesman Albert Lopez says about 40 percent of the available tickets were sold via telephone and the system was working properly.

The sold-out rehearsal shows are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Asbury Park's Convention Hall.

Ticketmaster agreed in February to change its online sales process after it directed people seeking Springsteen tickets to a subsidiary that charged up to 50 times the face value.
