Son Accused of Murdering Parents

The bodies of a missing South Brunswick couple have been found in a park, and their son is accused of killing them with his girlfriend's help

The bodies of a missing South Brunswick couple have been found in a park, buried in shallow grave a few miles from their home.

Police say the bodies of Michael J. Maltese, 58, and Kathleen Maltese, 53, were found in Beech Woods Park. They have been missing since Oct. 10.

The couple's 20-year-old son and his 18-year-old girlfriend have been arrested in connection to the couple's death.

Authorities say the son, Michael A. Maltese, killed his parents in their home, and with the help of his girlfriend, Nicole Taylor, buried them in the park. An autopsy is pending.

Maltese was been charged with two counts of murder, hindering his own apprehension, theft and unlawful use of the victim’s credit card.

Nicole Taylor was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit murder, theft, unlawful use of the victim’s credit cards and hindering apprehension of another.

Maltese and Taylor are in custody at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick. Their bail is set at $2 million and $1 million, respectively.

It's not immediately clear if either have an attorney.
