Snowfall Creates Pretty Picture, Messy Roads

Saturday's snowfall didn't bring big accumulations around the tri-state area, but gave the region a quick blast of wintry weather.

Meteorologists said snowfall accumulations ranged from 1-3 inches in New Jersey, New York's northern suburbs and Connecticut.  In some areas, like, Hunterdon County, N.J., snowfall measured up to 5" in the hills.

Around New York City, freezing rain gave way early Sunday to clear, blue skies.

The weather contributed to several accidents across the region Saturday night and Sunday morning but no serious injuries were reported.
