Adorable Snow Leopard Cubs Debut at Central Park Zoo

Zoe and Askai are the proud first-time parents

Two adorable snow leopard cubs are making their debut at the Central Park Zoo, and officials say they're the first animals of their kind to be born at the facility.

The male and female cubs were born this summer and weigh about 30 pounds each. They're expected to grow to be up to 120 pounds.

Mother Zoe and father Askai are the proud parents, and the cubs are the first for the 7- and 6-year-old leopards.

A snow leopard cub was born at the Bronx Zoo last month.

Snow leopards are among the world’s most endangered big cats with an estimated 3,500-6,500 remaining in the wild. They're found primarily in the remote mountains of Central Asia and parts of China, Mongolia, Russia, India and Bhutan.
