Tweeter Captures NYPD Officer Snoozing on Subway, With Gun

An alert straphanger captured a disturbing image on his phone last week – a photo of a police officer snoozing on the F train.

He saw something, so he Tweeted something.

An alert straphanger captured an image of a police officer snoozing on the F train, his gun holstered on his hip.

Martin Bisi forwarded the picture to the NYPD, which issued 43-year-old officer Matthew Sobo a “command discipline” for falling asleep on the subway with his weapon by his side, according to The New York Post.

"NYC cop sleeping on F train last Thurs w/weapon - i reported/his vacation docked. If you see something, say something" Bisi tweeted.

Sources told the paper Sobo was off-duty at the time the picture was snapped last Thursday, but the decorated officer was en route to do some paid security job approved by the NYPD.

Sobo is a 20-year NYPD veteran who has received multiple awards for bravery, according to the Post.
