Significant Manhattan-Brooklyn Subway Problems Resolved After 5 Train Stalls on Top of a Switch

There were significant delays in subway service between Brooklyn and Manhattan Friday morning after a 5 train lost power on top of a switch at Franklin Street, the MTA said.

All 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains headed in both directions were unable to get around the stalled train for roughly 30 minutes. Service resumed as of about 10:55 a.m.

"Please consider using alternate subway lines," NYC Transit tweeted.
