A sex attacker preyed on two women and a girl in the space of three hours in Brooklyn Tuesday morning, according to law enforcement sources.
Police swarmed East New York for hours in their search for the attacker. By noon, they said they'd picked up a 26-year-old person of interest in Queens.
He was later arrested and identified as Keith Wiggins of South Ozone Park, police said. He is charged with rape, criminal sex act and menacing.
The attacks began at about 6:30 a.m., when the armed suspect approached an 26-year-old woman on Fountain Avenue in Brooklyn, told her to follow him and took her between some trucks, sources say. He raped the woman, stole her wallet and fled.
A co-worker of the woman told News 4 she was hysterical after she got to work at a bus company.
"He put a gun to her head, he told her, 'Let me see your ID.' Took a picture of her ID, then told her to take her pants down and take off her sneakers," said the co-worker, who asked to not to be identified. "She did what he was saying because he had a gun to her head."
Sources say the man raped the woman behind a truck in the parking lot of a tire shop, then told the victim to count to 50 and took off.
Less than an hour later, he approached a 15-year-old girl, also while still armed with a gun, but she refused to go with him, sources say. She called police right away and he ran off.
Then about two hours later, at 9:15 a.m, the predator approached another woman at the intersection of Jerome and Linden and sexually assaulted her, sources say.

The attacker was busted when he tried to return a rental car at Kennedy Airport a short time later, according to sources. The license plate of the car, which was rented in his own name, matched the one given to detectives by a witness who took down the number when they heard screaming from one of the attacks.
