Police arrested a 28-year-old man who allegedly knocked on the door of a woman's apartment in Chinatown and forced his way inside when she answered, then raped her in a bedroom.
Authorities responded to a 911 call about the attack on Henry Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday. They encountered the suspect outside the victim's apartment and the victim identified him as her attacker.
Hua Qin Ye, of Sunset Park, faces charges of rape and burglary.
It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
