Man Accused of Groping Four Women in 11 Days

Police arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly groping four women in four separate places over an 11-day period in his hometown of New Rochelle.

Guillermmo Merino was arraigned Monday on a felony complaint charging him with four counts of persistent sexual abuse. Police say he allegedly touched a woman's buttocks near Sickles Avenue and Prince Street June 18, then touched another woman's buttocks June 23 on Van Guilder Avenue.

Four days later, he allegedly grabbed a third woman on Harrison Street and two days after that, police say he victimized a fourth woman at Station Plaza.

Merino was previously convicted of forcible touching in January of this year and twice in 2007.

He faces up to four years in prison on each count and is next due in court July 21.

Information on an attorney for him wasn't immediately available.
