Missing ‘Homebody' NYC Boy Found Safe

A young boy who vanished after school on Tuesday returned to class Wednesday, apparently safe, police say.

Police said 11-year-old Sean Simmons went over to a friend's house, slept over and then went to school the next day. Previously, sources described him as a homebody, not a runaway, who had last been seen around 5 p.m. Tuesday inside his school on Mohegan Avenue in West Farms.

He attends Urban Assembly School of Wildlife Conservation, the same school where a student is accused of stabbing two of his classmates earlier this year, killing one.

Simmons enjoyed going to school and going straight home every single day, officials said.
