Man Punched, Tried to Sexually Assault Rutgers Student: Police

The suspect walked up to the woman on Townsend Street between Livingston and Joyce Kilmer avenues in New Brunswick at around 2:30 a.m.

Police say they are looking for a man who attacked and attempted to sexually assault a 24-year-old Rutgers University student near the school's campus early Friday.

The suspect walked up to the woman on Townsend Street between Livingston and Joyce Kilmer avenues in New Brunswick at around 2:30 a.m. and punched her in the face several times, officials said. The man also improperly touched the woman and attempted to further sexually assault her before fleeing when she kicked and screamed.
