Rutgers Suspends Another Football Player

Rutgers University lost yet another football player to suspension Sunday -- the seventh in the past two weeks.

Standout receiver Leonte Carroo, a 21-year-old senior, was suspended indefinitely in the wake of his alleged involvement in an incident outside High Point Solutions Stadium after the Scarlet Knights game Saturday.

The team declined to discuss the incident.

“We are aware of an incident involving Leonte Saturday night and are gathering the facts," read a statement issued by Head Coach Kyle Flood. "We will have no further comment at this time.”

The Rutgers University Police Department also declined to comment on the incident.

Carroo and four other players were suspended for the fist half of the team's season opener on Sept. 5 for violating curfew during training camp.

Six of the team's players have been dropped from the team as a result of arrests during the past two weeks.
