The weather roller coaster continued Saturday, with temperatures dipping slightly before they surge again on Sunday, when another record-breaking high is forecast for the city, according to Storm Team 4.
As a warm front moves through the Tri-State, Sunday's temperature will likely break the 63-degree record at Central Park for this date. Expect showers to accompany the warm weather.
However, the shortened work-week will cool down considerably and a light show or freezing rain is expected in some areas.
Monday is expected to be chilly again, with a high of 46 and a nighttime wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain giving way to a rainy Tuesday.
Thursday, New Year's Eve, is expected to see a high of 50. And 2016 is expected to kick off with a high of 45 and low of 32 degrees.
