A mother and her son have been charged in the killing of a 66-year-old man in Rochester.
The Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester reports 28-year-old James McCracken and his 48-year-old mother, Jacqueline Staples, have been charged with second-degree murder in the Sept. 11 killing of Robert Pinckney.
McCracken was released on parole in March after serving time for a burglary conviction. Parole records show he was being sought as an absconder.
The two are scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
It's unclear if they have attorneys.
