Robin Williams: Broadway Bound

One-man comedy show to open April 28

Move over Will Ferrell, Robin Williams is bring his own one-man show to Broadway.

"Weapons of Self-Destruction" will play just a few dates at the Neil Simon Theater from April 28 through May 3, according to BroadwayWorld and Playbill.

"I'm excited to be back on Broadway. It's been a blast working on new material for this tour. The current state of the country's political and economic climate, while so hard on so many people, has been like gold for a comedian. There’s just so much that's ripe for the picking," Williams said in a statement.

NewYorkology notes that at least on the road, Williams has been selling a meet-and-greet package for $350 that includes face time with the star of the show as well as a ticket within the first five rows.

Tickets for "Weapons of Self-Destruction" in New York will go on sale March 1.

Ferrell's (mostly) one-man Broadway show "You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W Bush," is currently on sale through March 15.
