A Rikers correction officer has been arrested for allegedly raping a child.
Police say 47-year-old Jose Urena was taken into custody Tuesday; he was off-duty at the time of his arrest.
Urena faces charges of rape, sexual conduct against a child younger than 13 and endangering the welfare of a child.
Information on an attorney for him wasn't immediately available.
